This project has been under development since 2001. It was commissioned jointly by
- French Ministry of Agriculture
- Pluriagri (a partnership created by French producers of arable crops and the Crédit Agricole bank), and is being run by INRA, Rennes (France).
The next three years, the WEMAC project will be supported by
- European commission within the Sixth Framework Programme's Thematic Priority 8.1 "Policy oriented Research (SSP)".
