The meeting was organised by the research unit " BiO3P " of the INRA-ENSA Rennes centre, the main partner being CNPPPT which is a member of FNPPPT (French seed potato growers), other partners include GNIS-SOC and GERMICOPA (see partnership).
BiO3P is a research unit with more than one hundred people including scientists, technicians, administrative support and PHD students, almost one third are involved in research on potato. The unit comprises six teams studying : insects, nematodes, viruses, epidemiology of fungal and bacterial diseases, sustainable resistances and microbial ecology in the rhizoshere. BIO3P is managed by Bernard TIVOLI, formerly a specialist of Fusarium diseases in potato and Maurice HULLE, an entomologist specialising in aphid populations.
